Well everyone, thanks to Heide we now have a blog spot. :) We have never actually done this but maybe this will be a good way to update everyone.
Married life is great! I can't believe it has been about 4 months since the wedding. It's crazy how fast this summer has gone by! This summer has been a great one. On our move out to Utah we were able to go to Illinois to see my parents and some family and then up to Minnesota to see Darren's side of the family. It was so good being able to see everyone. After that we took a mini vacation in the Black Hills/Badlands and Jackson Hole, WY. I think we spent over 50 hours in the car together.... we were definitely ready to get to Utah and get settled in. We got to Utah around mid July. We were able to get a house on base within the first couple weeks so that was a blessing. Right now we are just still getting used to the area and getting to know people. We have great neighbors, which is a plus! We are also still looking for a church. It's a rough process finding that one church that is perfect for both of us. Please pray for us!
The area out here is beautiful. I can look out our window and see the mountains. Definitely a change but a good one! We are about 30 - 40 minutes from Salt Lake City. It's a very nice area with lots to do within driving distance. We are looking forward to the winter months so we can do some skiing/snowboarding!
Darren has been staying super busy with work. I think he got a little spoiled being on the Demo Team.:) He's working on the F-16 planes now so it is a bit of a change for him, but he's getting used to it. I just recently got a job. In Ocotber I will start watching 2 little kids named Connor and Preston. Connor is 1 and Preston was just born last week. It will definitely be a bit of change from the last nanny job I had. They live about 5 min from us, so the commute shouldn't be too rough. They are a very sweet family and it will allow me to finish up the little bit of schooling I have left. They are also very flexible which is a big plus.
